Artificial Rose Care & Styling
Expert care rituals and styling advice to keep every petal as radiant as the day it arrived.
The Art of Dusting
Even the finest real-touch petals gather the faintest veil of dust over time. A gentle weekly routine preserves the depth of colour and the tactile softness that makes our arrangements so lifelike. The tools you choose matter as much as the technique.
- Soft-bristle brush: Use a clean, dry make-up or watercolour brush in small circular strokes — never linear — to lift dust without distorting petals.
- Compressed air: Hold the can 30 cm away and use short bursts to clear dust from deep within the arrangement without touching delicate stamens.
- Avoid water: Dust only — never rinse or use liquid cleaners, as moisture can affect the foam and colour finish.
- Frequency: A light dusting once per week prevents build-up. A deeper clean with compressed air once a month keeps the arrangement showroom fresh.
Styling & Arranging
The vessel you choose and the way you arrange the stems are as important as the roses themselves. Our arrangements are designed with an adjustable internal armature — each stem can be repositioned to create the silhouette that suits your space perfectly.
- Vessel choice: Clear glass or matte ceramic vessels let the stems breathe visually. Avoid narrow-necked vases that crowd the lower stems.
- Height balance: Adjust the tallest stem to approximately 1.5× the height of the vessel. Stagger remaining stems in arcs for natural depth.
- Seasonal layering: Introduce dried botanicals — eucalyptus, pampas, or dried citrus — alongside your roses to mark the changing seasons.
- Stem reshaping: Gently warm a curved stem between your palms for 20 seconds before repositioning. The internal wire will hold its new shape immediately.
Light & Placement
The colours you fell in love with in the studio are best protected through thoughtful placement in your home. Extended direct sunlight is the main threat to long-term colour vibrancy, even though our roses are UV-resistant. A few simple rules keep your roses vivid for years.
- Avoid direct sunlight: Place arrangements away from south or west-facing windows where direct afternoon sun falls. Ambient daylight is perfectly safe.
- Humidity: Kitchens and bathrooms expose arrangements to moisture vapour. Choose a well-ventilated room with stable humidity.
- Temperature: Keep roses away from radiators and fireplaces. Sustained dry heat can affect the petals and stem integrity over time.
- Rotation: Rotate the arrangement 90° each month to ensure even light exposure across all petals — the same principle as caring for a houseplant.
Long-Term Preservation
When you wish to store your arrangement — whether rotating collections seasonally or protecting a gifted piece — correct storage ensures it emerges as pristine as when it was placed. Our arrangements are designed to be stored without disassembly.
- Original box: Our signature presentation boxes are designed for long-term storage. The shaped interior protects petals from compression.
- Tissue wrapping: Loosely wrap each bloom in acid-free tissue before boxing. Avoid plastic wrapping, which traps moisture.
- Cool, dry storage: Store boxes upright in a cool, dry space — a wardrobe shelf or linen cupboard is ideal. Avoid attics and basements.
- Revival shake: When returning an arrangement to display, hold it by the base and give a single gentle downward shake to encourage petals to re-open naturally.
